Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, widely recognized as Davido, recently clarified that he is unfamiliar with Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, while expressing regret for ‘accidentally’ endorsing a tweet critical of the reality TV star.
Davido, often referred to as OBO, had inadvertently liked a tweet that questioned why some individuals admire specific celebrities, with a direct mention of Phyna. The tweet, posted by @47kasz, read, “There are some particular celebrities you’d Stan & I will profile, judge & conclude you are useless cos why are you stanning Phyna????”
Following the surge of attention garnered by Davido’s response to the tweet, Phyna took to her own platform to inquire why she was receiving such negativity from the singer. She tweeted, “What did I do @davido? Na wah oh, The hate is real….., Congratulations on your twins sha.”
Davido promptly addressed Phyna’s tweet, explaining that he genuinely didn’t recognize her and that his reaction was an unintended oversight. He wrote, “Thank you love but I actually don’t know who you are .. and it was an honest mistake .. no vex.”
